jeweladdict @sandollar62 hello. This is .925 sterling silver. That means 92.5% of the bead is Sterling Silver. It can start to tarnish after many months but that is normal for sterling. It is easily brought back to perfection with a silver cleaning cloth. These beads have a clear protective coating to help them not tarnish at all.
