_akwilliams_ Love these! Do you know where I could find a pattern for them?

sonyaloveskorn @akaguero sorry I don’t. I don’t use a pattern when I make them. I just do it from memory. Or if I forget look at one I have made in my jewelry box lol

_akwilliams_ @sonyaloveskorn Oh my goodness! You are so talented! I feel like that’s what most people do– I haven’t been able to find a pattern or even video tutorial anywhere! Wanted to make some for my MIL since she started learning Yup’ik 🥰

sonyaloveskorn @akaguero it’s a combination of brick stitch for the lower shoe, and peyote of the boot neck. With like, strung beads across the sole and toe. I can try and post more pictures from all angles if you want to try and figure it out. I do that sometimes from photos lol

_akwilliams_ @sonyaloveskorn Aw, sure that would be lovely! I’m proficient in brick stitch but still learning peyote so that would be good practice for me 😄

sonyaloveskorn @akaguero I’ve added some more pictures. I start with the lower shoe part, black & tan square stitch. Then I do the bottom with strung beads, the first row is 2 beads, then 3 beads four times and then I end with 2 beads. For a total of six rows on the bottom.

sonyaloveskorn @akaguero From there, I weave up to the black beads and brick stitch the colored row, and then the white. Then I weave over to the toe of the boot and string 2 white beads across to the other side. Then I string a white a colored and a white across and then the last one across is just 3 white beads.

sonyaloveskorn @akaguero Then I weave back over to the side and start my peyote stitch for the neck of the boot. I usually start my peyote stitch with that very first bottom colored bead that forms the flower and go on from there. Hope this helps.

brimleytahl I would love to see the blue pattern in red! Can I order a different color like red in the Mukluk earrings? Perfect reminder of my trip to Alaska
