Beadweaving Herringbone Rope with Focal Beaded Beetle Pendant-Russian Leaves

A beaded beetle provides a dramatic focal point to this necklace. Simple herringbone stich was used to complete the 18 inches long necklace. Russian leaves mimic the beetle's wings, a shell bead and a antique copper bead to resemble the body and for the head a green agate bead. Most of the work is done with Toho glass seed beads accented by garnet and peridot gemstones, and swarovski crystals beads. The pendant is 4" tall and about 2 3/4" wide and could be removed sliding it out through the circle end of the necklace. To support the beadwork, silicone tubing runs through the necklace. Sturdy construction! All items come in a gift box - ready to give as a gift or keep for yourself. All of my jewelry is designed and handcrafted by me. I love to experiment with many different designs and although I may make similar designs more than once, each piece of jewelry is truly one of a kind due to variations between beads and within my own craft work. I try my best to capture the true colors with my camera, but sometimes the monitor colors don't correspond with it so please allow for some slight variations.
