I was invited to participate in the new Beatles documentary, BEATLES 64, By the producer Martin Scorsese and the director David Tedeschi . I contributed 31 seconds of color silent 8mm movie, featuring the fans outside the Plaza hotel on February 8th, 1964, Beatles fans parading with placards, as well of my film capturing the Beatles on their arrival at the Ed Sullivan studios. I am also seen in the iconic clip as the 17 year old boy running after their limo as captured in the Maysles brothers footage. My name, Joe Sherov appears in the film's credits in the very last 20 seconds.
I have also enclosed the thank you note I received from Apple records and Sikelia studios.
The last picture that I have enclosed shows my credit to the movie
BEATLES 64 on the upper right side.
Last year I visited the Beatles museum in Liverpool and was acknowledged by their administrators as the very first beatles Fan Club president in the U.S.A.
My placque is hanging on the second floor and I have included a photo of that event.
In the February 1964 issue of 16 magazine, my fan club was featured in the letters to the editor section and I have included that photo as well. Make sure to look at all of the enclosed photos.
A life sized photo of me (wall in my office), is also enclosed within my pictures. I have also enclosed a clip of me running after the Beatles Limo.
