Beautiful teapot from occupied Japan
This beautiful teapot was made and hand-painted during the post World War II occupation of Japan which took place between 1945 and 1952. Made by Tashiro Shoten Ltd., a shop in Yokohama, Japan, this teapot is in very good condition with no chips or cracks noticed when examined. Please look through all pictures. The Tashiro Shoten company closed in 1954. They also had a porcelain factory in Nagoya, Japan.
The teapot is approximately 8" tall to the tallest part of the lid and approximately 8" wide from the end of the spout to the end of the handle.
The beautiful floral pattern and the gold trim would make this teapot a standout in any room of your house.
