Beautiful hand woven scarf from Guatemala

Hand woven by a women's weaving cooperative in San Juan La Laguna,, this ;soft scarf was colored with natural dyes.The beautiful green is from the plant "chilca." Cochinea and Sacatina are the plants used for the pink and blue. The design is the Mayan symbol for the cocoa bean. It was and is a very important facet of Mayan life. The scarf measures 12 x 63 inches and is a very soft cotton.
