Beautiful, no stretch, vintage thick denim Lees

These are seriously the best jeans ever. I bought them to replace a beloved pair of the best fitting vintage jeans I’ve ever owned (higher waisted, straight but slim leg, high-quality no-stretch denim, excellent medium/dark wash...) and they did not disappoint but unfortunately I got tripped up by the difference between the tag and actual measurements and they don’t fit. THE TAG SIZE IS 29 - THE TRUE SIZE IS 26 (see photos). Anyhoo if you’re a size 26, you just found the best jeans ever!
