Ben Shahn Collectible First Edition Passover Haggadah

Ben Shahn First Edition Passover Haggadah This Haggadah was copied and illustrated by the renowned artist Ben Shahn. The text also includes a translation from the Hebrew with an introduction and historical notes by the historian Cecil Roth. The first 11 of the illuminated pages are from the collection of the Jewish Museum in NY while the plates were reproduced in 7 color photolithography on paper manufactured to match the tint of paper used by the artist. The acetate dust jacket protects the gold lettering on the front and back covers. Purchased new and never used. The slight yellowing at the edges appears to be the manufactured tint noted above, as I have seen the same on the few other copies I could find. I have seen it called “ivory age toning”. The volume (binding, hinges, etc.) is in excellent condition as are all the pages, as it has not been used. A fine collectible for exhibition and/or use at the Seder as it includes the ceremonial text.
