Bernardaud Limoges "Bouquet of Roses" Lithopane

The "Bouquet of Roses" Lithopane features a beautiful motif of roses and leaves that dances and flickers from the glow of a candle. This beautiful Lithopane was crafted with a traditional engraving technique on a fine bisque (non-glazed) porcelain that was invented in Limoges France in 1828. The glow of the candle shines through the raised and carved surface of the votive, contrasting light against shadow and thus revealing its richly detailed design. This Bernardaud Lithopane from Limoges France is approximately 2 .95 inches tall and 4.3 inches in diameter and is in excellent preowned condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. Original box not included. Please note, for photographic purposes a battery powered votive was used - a wax tea light candle will provide a warmer, brighter glow.
