Vintage Betsey Johnson funky “patent” handbag is feminine and playful. Betsey Johnson is known for her whimsical and over-the-top fashion items. Part of the early Soho scene, Johnson started her own fashion line in 1978. This bag epitomizes the Betsey Johnson vibe. Fold-over flap, bright black crackled “patent leather” with 40+ resin black rosette accents, each set in its own gold tone bezel. The flowers are 1” in diameter and carved so there is depth between the petals. The bag closes with a magnetic snap on the underside of the flap. The gold tone chain can be kept inside the bag to carry as a clutch. The inside is lined with Betsey Johnson fabric and features a zippered pocket. The bright pink Betsey Johnson label is inside, and the inside itself is very clean.
