Black Crushed Velvet Evening Cape or Coat with Matching Skirt by Harold Levine

Long black evening cape fully lined with two handles inside for arms. A 5" wide collar surrounds the neck and a metal hook closure to hold coat securely. The matching crushed velvet skirt is also lined with a zipper in the back and the same hook closure at the waist. Both pieces are very heavy weighing over 5 pounds together. Tag reads "Suburban Fashions, Rochester, Boutique Sportswear by Harold Levine". In excellent condition with minor wear at the waist of the skirt (please see photos). This cape is elegant and I wonder what type grand event it graced? Where ever it was, I am certain it left a huge statement.
