Black Knit MCM Viking Inspired Mod Dress w/ Gold Braid & Medallion Necklace

This is a very cool MCM Black Knit dress trimmed in metallic braid. It resembles a Viking woman's dress in design and is actually more detailed that initially meets the eye. It is very flattering on - It is a long A-line shift shape with darts at the bust and 14.5" slits on either side of the skirt at side seams. There is a long zipper with a hook at the top to close up the back. Side seams, neckline and cuffs are trimmed in the wide metallic braid in gold, with orange and white accents - it looks like jeweled bands. It was made in the 1970s by RK Knits "For the girl who knows fashion!" It was designed as hostess gown and considered mod at that time. So, you can wear it that way now or as a Viking dress . I have an interesting medallion necklace with pearls and tassels which is the perfect accessory for this dress. Therefore I am listing them together. Necklace is a cool looking MCM piece - quality made. Dress is probably a polyester blend knit. No size or fabric content labels exist. Dress fits Size 4-6 nicely. Measurements : Bust 19.5" , Length 53.5" , Slits at both side seams from hemline up are 14.5" deep. A perfect dress if you need to attend Viking theme event or Mod 1970s party. A Cape or a fur pelt used as a shawl in a solid color or black would be the perfect cold weather wrap over this Viking inspired gown ! Very fun and easy to wear. This dress is warm on as well.
