It’s about 3 inches -3 1/2 inches wide across the bottom so it doesn’t stick out too much if you’d like to have your bag on your shoulder while you’re shopping you don’t want to hit things and I’ll this is a good bag for that zip up and put your water bottle and things in there. It’s not too small not too big.
