Black vintage dress coat with flared sleeves. Empire waist. Medium

1950’s-60’s dress coat in black from Blum’s-Vogue, a high end Chicago women’s clothing store active 1910s-‘80s, selling designer and custom clothing. There are no fabric or other markings so likely a custom design. Seems to be a very fine wool broadcloth. Empire waist gathered by 2 rows of stitching, also seen on the elbow length flared sleeves. Covered buttons. Round collar can be popped. Somewhat boxy fit. Very elegant .
