Throughout my 8 years on Poshmark, I have seen some pretty outrageous behavior given the nature of social media. The ONE thing that tells me all I need to know about you is blocking me when we’ve never interacted. Are there legitimate reasons to block? Absolutely-Trolling, Harassment, or Bullying. These are extreme cases where logic prevails. But blocking me because you don’t like my business ethos or your feelings got hurt, makes me laugh. One, because you just validated your foolishness and two, you just gave me the virtual finger (LOL) in all your glory thinking you are pretty darn brave. Trust me, nobody is as brave online as they think they are. Will I block you back? NO I will not. Why? Because I will not give you my two most precious resources-TIME and ATTENTION. You see, long after I block you, I will keep thinking about you- about what an asshole you are; selflessly throwing away my mental energy on you. I will handle it differently by just releasing you from my consciousness- Yes, I’ve trained myself to do that (Thank You United States Navy)! I will never argue with you online either, but would love to debate you face to face about what has you so triggered that you have to block me on a clothing app. I do love a good friendly, rational debate but most likely I will smile and move on because arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.✌🏻

On the bright side, it's easy to see why so many veterans are unphased by things post service 😅 when my husband gets out I'll get him one of those dd214 blankets, lol.

vjcoleky @lemurianmuse agree… I just really don’t understand people blocking each other. Some woman blocked me on here (no idea why??) and when I went to make a purchase, it said I was blocked. I was completely baffled. It was legit though. Once someone did it by accident somehow and she immediately apologized and said she had no idea how it happened. The other never did unblock me. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

etherealeyes I have had no issues with anyone here because I am reserved and do not entertain myself with the selfish drama, but yet I find myself blocked by one or two users. I am also military and the line runs deep in my family line, with every single branch. Salute 🇺🇸

It could be a guilt-by-association problem if someone doesn't like x person & maybe sees u interact w/them so blocks u too. 🤨 Shitty if that's how it is, but unfortunately plausible...

lemurianmuse @debcbrown people on here are insane. I can’t believe you got blocked for that. That’s a reasonable starting point to offer. It really makes you wonder. Probably best though in hindsight as these people are usually troublemakers. One of the ones that blocked me lost out on a big sale. LOL. That’s how I found out I was blocked. I’ve never seen such childish behavior by sellers.

suzyblueyes I agree with everything you have said and I unfortunately had to block one person after a 7 day issue involving support but I’m the end of the whole mess thankfully I was seen as honest not deceptive. The entire thing was hurtful and I’m very emotional about everything and empathetic to everyone but I hate being called a liar or belittled. lemurianmuse @suzyblueyes That’s awesome. I worked in the PA State Police crime lab. I was the forensic multi media supervisor. We did computer, cell phone, and forensic video analysis and crime scene photography. My husband was the Commissioner of the Pa State Police. Troopers are near and dear to my heart.

I’ve had that happen to me once. They said they didn’t block me but they did. Come to find out, they really had no idea how they blocked me or at least didn’t remember doing it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😬

lcarda38 @lemurianmuse I want to block a couple of sellers for playing games. I made an offer, they accepted. waited and waited for my purchase to be sent. I messaged on the status of shipping, they said shipped. never did a tracking show up. if I am serious enough to make an offer and they accept, I expect the item to be shipped.

are_dee_pee A user is posting on pages incoherent messages concerning me. Telling people to block me. Because I didn’t buy one of her paintings after liking it. She actually started trolling and posting on my page. After I blocked her she started posting on everyone’s page who’s auctions she’s seen me in. So. That’s happening.
