Blue Howlite Stone Southwest Necklace Vintage

An unusual and very sturdy Native American necklace. You can tell by the design and hook clasp it is truly vintage. I believe the stones are HOWLITE, dyed to resemble turquoise. Howlite is naturally white or gray and features speckled veining. Because it is porous, it can be dyed to resemble other gemstones, like turquoise.
