They are connected by Sterling Silver jump rings. At 36” you can double it around your neck for an amazing amount of impact!! The Sterling Silver Pave Diamond padlock actually opens so you could add a Diamond Initial ( I can order you one), a birthstone charm, or a religious symbol, etc. the back of the lock doesn’t have diamonds.
