Blue Lace Agate Sterling Silver Ring. Sz, 7.

This lovely Blue Lace Agate ring is set in Sterling Silver. Ring Size is 7. Stone size is 1 1/4" L x 3/8" W (The first 2 pictures were taken indoors with no flash & the next 3 pics were taken outside in the sun to show the stunning blue variations!) Blue Lace Agate is a form of patterned Chalcedony. Blue Lace Agate is formed when magma cools and trapped silica bubbles form cavities. These cavities are slowly filled with silica-rich fluids, creating layers that slowly work their way inwards towards the center of the cavity. These layers create the blue banding that we see in Blue Lace Agate.
