This beautiful briefcase has two large sections that open up.There is 4 interior zippered pockets, 5 pockets without zippers, and 6 dividers for files. There is also a zippered pocket in the middle that is accessed on the side. This pocket is for a laptop or tablet and it is padded and lined with soft velvety material. @sfrelin It does not come with a shoulder strap. And there’s no hardware on the sides to attach a shoulder strap to. The handle is nice and sturdy. I believe that you could put a water bottle in there. I have the same one in black for school. And I have put a plastic disposable bottle of water in there before.
