If you change “why is this happening to me”, to “what is this trying to teach me”, a whole new reality and perspective opens up. If you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow. When one realizes that the purpose of life is not necessarily about happiness, but rather for the growth of ones consciousness/soul, happiness often naturally follows. This is a realm of cause and effect. The paradox is you have free will to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choices. No one is above the laws of nature The only true law is universal law. Man made authority & laws are imaginary. No one truly has authority over you. But when you place your fate in someone else’s hands, or put another above you, you willingly give that person power & authority over you.
