Boker German made Damascus steel from WW2 TANK

Boker Damascus Steel 37 layer Gentlemans knife. German made steel sourced from WW2 Tiger Tanks The knife is actually much nicer than I thought initially! It’s San Mai!!! And you can clearly see the high carbon strip running down the center of the back of the blade! SanMai uses the Damascus layers to protect the much harder high carbon steel that is forged between the two outside layers of Damascus!! HighCarbon steel is much harder and holds an edge much longer but it is more brittle and doesn’t flex which is why it is sandwiched between the protective and flexible Damascus!
