Boleslawiec Unikat Polish pottery signed by a trained artist in ceramic painting and hand sponging, holds one dozen deviled eggs. The handle is painted in blue flowers with holes in the center of each flower. Larger blue flowers are painted on the dish itself and there is a decorative blue border framing the unique piece. No chips or cracks.
Boleslawiec Polish pottery is made from white clay found in the riverbeds of Boleslawiec, Poland, and is known for its hand painted and hand sponge painted unique, colorful patterns and designs. Unikat, which translates as unique, is mostly signed by the individual artist who hand painted the “unique” design. The pottery has been fired at extremely high temperatures, a process that makes it extremely durable. It is lead free and cadmium free.
