This vintage ceramic boot bank from the 1950s reminds us of the famous nursery rhyme "There Was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe."
The bank is made of glazed ceramic, painted with a red roof and door, and the boot is tan and brown.
The red paint has been retouched during the past 60 or 70 years.
A chip on the back left of the roof has been covered with paint, making it difficult to notice.
Additionally, there is some light crazing, and the bank does not have a bottom-stopper.
Instead, where the bottom stopper should be, there is a torn piece of what appears to be a "church bulletin" from 1964, which I have included in the photos.
I thought it was an excellent piece of nostalgic history to keep with the boot, so it comes with the purchase.
The bank measures 6 ½ inches long, 4 inches wide, and 6 ¾ inches tall.
