This candle is brand new, with no box, and part of the Boy Smells fruity/floral olfactive family. LES in the French language is the plural article used for both feminine and masculine nouns. Appropriate for every gender. It also stands for the Lower East Side, one of NYC’s most colorful, creative and dynamic neighborhoods. Many cultures come together in this part of the city, so it’s a candle of many influences. Notes of bergamot, cardamom and black currant are the first notes you detect. The middle is peach blossom, rose and peony, but this quickly melts into a finish of cedar wood, jasmine rice and vanilla. This smell beckons with the allure of fresh fruit markets, buckets of colorful cut flowers and steaming rice. It’s hard to describe, but a heady and delicate mix. Candle is made from a beeswax and white coconut blend, with a cotton braided wick, poured into a glossy black tumbler. Will provide 18 hours of joyful burn time if you are thoughtful and carefully burn. The website describes this as a downtown exploration of dark berries, bergamot and flora. Will be carefully packaged. Hand poured in Los Angeles, this modern luxe candle company is known for its gender neutral scents. I first experienced Boy Smells candles at the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA. Now they are all over my house. Hubby has certain scents he prefers, so I sometimes sell ones I get in variety packs. Candle got melty in the heat, and some dust specks are embedded in wax when it rehardened.
