Brad's self taught style of painting produces tremendous detail in the subject matter, while achieving the soft effects needed to create depth. His work is classified as "photo-realistic." It is often mistaken for photography. In February 1991, Brad took Fifth Place in the South Carolina Duck Stamp Contest and placed in the top "10" in the Delaware Duck Stamp Contest competing against the top wildlife artist in the nation.
