This beautiful corset is one of a kind. This Josephine Corset, by Isabella's Corsetry, was made in lovely contrasting purple satin. When completely closed measures 27-19-33. It will accommodate up to 32-24-37 comfortably. Has only been worn twice for pictures and that's it! Still needs to be seasoned. NWOT

Ah, you are the one that had this corset! I kept seeing photos of it and wanted it. I got a couple other purple ones from her, and she always has the most gorgeous shades!

@gingereden it was beautiful I wish I could've kept it, the mesh one sold too. but the 2 18's are still for sale and the cotton 20" but the adds got mixed up. I also have a brand new black matte satin 20" that I'm going to be putting up for sale soon too

@imastarrnow it was beautiful! I wish I had gotten a shot at it! Purple is my color, especially the vivid violets. I cant complain too much, I just bought another 20in purple/mesh Josephine from Isabella's shop, 2 purple cinchers and a cobalt blue. I may have overdone it a little in the past week LOL The purple/mesh Josephine is so pretty though! I loved the first one, and with it only being 225 right now and down to a couple 20s left, I had to.
gingereden
@imastarrnow the cinchers were on half off too! I've not tried one of those on yet, but I imagine the purple will be just as beautiful as all her others. I got a 4 corset mystery bag from timeless trends too, and I'm having a really tough time with them. They feel stiff and hurt unlike Mystic City and Isabella. Im pretty advanced with those brands, but I feel novice again aching over trying to season these 20in hourglasses from TT. Maybe my hip bones are too pointy and boney for TT 😅
gingereden
@imastarrnow such a bummer too, I was hoping one of those would be a good sleeping corset. Nooope. I will find one that works for sleeping if it kills me! I tend to buy 20s and can close them from Isabella and Mystic City. I think an 18 would work fine. That's why I've been eyeing the red and black you have up, especially the red. I was going to buy a no lines TT, but after the trouble I'm having with the hourglass, I think the red Isabella would work better for stealthing and sleeping.
imastarrnow
@gingereden the red one is definitely well broken in. I used it as a sleeping corset myself for awhile. also, u know it says sold, but the black cotton 20" is also heavenly as far as comfort goes. you'd just have to bid on the mesh on instead and you'd receive the cotton. If you bundled the black and the red satin together I would give you an excellent deal as well. it's all up to you.
imastarrnow
the only difference between the red and black 18's is that the black is around 12.5" while the red is right at 12. thr black is a little bit longer from the waist up then the red is.
imastarrnow
also, I purchased a TT gemini and that thing was SO stiff that I actually returned it. I'm so used to Isabella's, and they barely even need to be seasoned if at all, that I just couldn't stand the feel. what do you wear from mystic city? I've got my eye on the anti-muffin top one, I think the MCC-57? but I don't know how well they season or anything else.
imastarrnow
but if we are the same size in Isabella's 20" then I'm probably close to you as far as what I'd need from MCC
gingereden
@imastarrnow I'm glad I'm not crazy when it comes to TT. I feel like I'm wrapped in thick cardboard LOL. I noticed the same thing with mystic city as with Isabella, there isn't much seasoning needed. I have lots of MC models, my first was the MCC6 and it definitely spoiled me. I wore that for a year with it being comfortable from day 1. The MCC57 would be great, but that's one I don't have yet. They just got the MCC32x back in stock, and that one is amazing, so is the MCC68.
gingereden
@imastarrnow I think we are pretty close size wise. I'm 28-25-32 naturally. I'm 5ft4 and 102 lbs so a 13inch busk is about max for me. I had a really hard time with one I bought from corset story (before I had found isabella and MCC) that had a 15in busk. It was hilarious when I sat down or tried to tuck it into my pants. I always check the busk measurements after that incident, although it was worth a laugh.

@imastarrnow I really like the cotton 20in! Is that the one thats showing as sold for 120? The purple/mesh isabellas I bought were ready made but felt like custom. I think any 20in Josephines would be perfect, and 18 would be fine too. I feel like I should be able to do more than 5in reduction after more than a year of tight lacing everyday, but its taking longer since I don't have much squish factor. The TT was so painful on my pointy bones LOL MCC may have spoiled me on comfort
gingereden
@imastarrnow MCC is definitely stiffer than Isabella, but its in a good way (if that makes sense). Its firm but comfortable, especially if its a mesh/satin or mesh/cotton model. I read in one of the reddits that a user said MCC was stiffer than TT, and I wish I hadn't believed that. Wow, I think they must have made a simple mistake and typed that backwards. Its def the other way around. MCC also feels very well made where TT felt like cheap satin cardboard.
gingereden
@imastarrnow I added the other black one into my bundle. I love the idea of the cotton 20in, but I do like how satin repells cat fur LOL I am a rescuer, so there's always fur babies laying on me. Anything cotton grabs and holds tight to fur. Thats a hard decision!
gingereden
@imastarrnow my goal is to go down to 18 from the 20 im at now. Its so odd being able to close 20s in MCC and Isabella, then putting on a 20 TT hourglass and having this weird 3.5inch gap. Whats even stranger is that its tight on my hips and underbust when those measurements matched my own. How is that possible? It almost has to be a design flaw. I was so baffled by the drastically different fit that I re-checked my measurements, which I know well, and my body definitely didn't change any LOL
imastarrnow
@gingereden yeah, I know mine like the back of my hand and the gemini should have fir with a 1" gap but the ribs needed 3" while I could close the hip. I think its probably just sweatshop over sights.
imastarrnow
@gingereden also, their "hourglass" is shaped quite a bit different from most other "hourglass" silloutes
gingereden
@imastarrnow one thing I noticed was that the bones went directly over the pointy part of the hip bone. They don't tell you that they're made and shipping from Thailand either, which caused me international transfer fees from my bank. lovely. I think they are sweatshop pieces, or at least made cheaply. ive never seen any corset place bones directly where bones are. if you're already skinny with protruding bones, the worst thing is to have something hard pressing on them.
gingereden
@imastarrnow the other amazing thing is that they're not super cheap. they're actually quite a bit more than MCC. MCC has an unadvertised sale today where everything is 15 off! they're already great prices before the discount, this just makes each one between 60 to 76. I do think I'd like the to get one or both of the satin isabellas from you
gingereden
@imastarrnow I was going to go with the red, but now you got me wanting both the black and the red satin 18s lol I could use one for sleeping and the other for stealthing. I loaded them both into the bundle, but im still deciding. im definitely wanting to pull the trigger!
gingereden
do you want me to put an offer in on the bundle, or do you want to send one? although it looks to me like it already put on a 15% bundle discount, so it automatically took off 18 dollars. I'll just go ahead and make one with the little percentage button recommendations, and we can take it from there back and forth lol
gingereden
I also don't mind about the pet hair. You dont have to bother with getting that off. I have a dozen fosters in my rescue right now, and they're all always on me. They'll just get instantly re-furry the moment I get them LOL This has been a nightmare year in rescue. I even had a hoarding case where the owner passed, and no other rescue would help due to the high number. well, someone has to. I got 18 pets that day and had to vet and fix them all, then find them good homes.
gingereden
I wonder if I should give up on these TT pieces. I got the grab bag of 20" hourglass regulars- 2 of them! I have 7 of these stupid things! LOL its not worth returning since they were on sale for 140, but I've spent all week trying to season one (and changed the laces because the ribbon it came with was way too short to even put it on). im wondering if the grab bag ones were defective in different ways. The issue is I am totally numb now. I cant feel my hips at all. its weeeird.
gingereden
I've never experienced that with MCC or Isabella. My hip bones ached horribly for a few days, but then they went totally numb. the numbness goes down about 4 inches but the feeling comes back farther down the leg. It seems odd since its been off for 12hrs. Its making me want to give up on my determined seasoning process. I'm pretty sure its not me, just a bad product. I didnt want to admit defeat & was putting myself thru agony since I'm stuck with so many.
gingereden
I submitted the bundle offer again for the black and red satin 18s, the first one I did expired. It was between that and buying more from the MCC sale LOL
