I'm The Origial Owner & I Purchased While Living In Abu Dhabi, UAE In Early 90's.
THIS IS NOT A PRINT. This is a hand made original rubbing of Saint George & The Dragon. This rubbing is from the 1590 edition of Spencer's 'The Fairie Queen', dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I. Saint George is depicted as a medieval armoured knight on horseback & symbolised the triumph of the Christian church over evil & paganism.

Rubbing Is A Terracotta Color On A Cream Background With An Antique Gold Finish Frame, Double Matted, Professionally Framed Under None Reflective Glass W Hanger & Description Adhered To Back.

//This plate is part of the canopy shaft of the brass which commemorates William Porter, Precentor and Cannon Residentially of Hartford and Warren Of New College, Oxford.
The brass depicts St. George, patron saint of England, slaying the dragon to rescue Princess Cleolinde. The worn impression of the Princess may be seen in the lower left corner of the brass. The inscription on top translates from the abbreviated Latin "St George, may the Lord have mercy on his Soul" //
