Breitling Model L-39 C Albatros

This is a fabulous all wood, hand painted model by Breitling of their Jet Teams Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros Jet. The Breitling Jet Team was based in Dijon, France and performed all across Europe. Their displays included formation flying, solo routines, and synchronized maneuvers. Sadly, The Breitling Jet Team disbanded when Breitling sold a major part of their family owned company in 2019. That is when memorabilia from 2018 and prior came highly collectible. This is one of those rare pieces. Some of the features of Breitling's L-39 Albatros were: -Two seater jet trainer with panoramic visibility -Maximum speed 872km G-forces up to 6.5 -Designed in the late 1960's and used in over 30 Air Forces -Used in The James Bond Movie "TOMORROW NEVER DIES" I am very proud to say I got to be a passenger in one of these very jets at a Breitling Air Show in Switzerland...yes...I did toss my cookies, but it was worth it!!! Model is 12" x 15" It is 100% complete and over 20 years old
