Slit on each side of the hem. that measures approx. 7" Lightweight cotton-the hotter it gets the better this dress will feel. Hand washing is suggested. Measures approx. 20" from armpit to armpit...13" Sleeve (measured underarm seams to end)...19" across the waist/hips....31" long from shoulder(I called this a short-dress--how short depends on your height.) Measurements taken flat. Gently worn...no real flaws noticed but this isn't new ...if you go over it carefully you will see tiny things that tell you it has been pre-enjoyed. Could use a bit of steam to get out wrinkles. From my non-smoking home. H
