Bundle of Socks! Nice, Cute, Stylish... Altered...

Mom became a "little old sock lady!" She LOVED socks when she got older (and less active) and had drawers full! And she often bought very nice, expensive, luxurious, well-made, and even themed socks but rarely had time to wear them all! So these socks are all very nice socks, some with cute themes, that are in quite good condition and very lightly worn. However, this group is a group I found that she altered in a weird way (at least as far as I'm concerned!). All of these socks have had the very top of them "slit" in the very back. Which I think is particularly odd because mother was a fairly thin woman with thin legs. But apparently some socks felt tight to her, so she would pay a fortune for nice socks, take them home, and put a slit in the top of them! She also was a serial tag remover from shirts, so I guess it was a sensitive skin thing. Regardless, listing these in case this is a "thing" and others do this too. As I said, these socks are all very nice, in very good condition, lightly worn, lots of life left, but so do have the very top of them cut in the very back.
