Bundle of Two Vintage Madeira Handkerchieves

A bundle of two vintage Madeira Wedding Handkerchieves from the Portuguese island of Madeira, world-famous for its skill of white-on-white embroidery and cutwork. Note the tiny stitches and threads that have been pulled or “cut”. Extremely intricate, much of it was done around the turn of the century. Although vintage, these pieces have been used only once (for the weddings) and are in beautiful condition. Would make lovely gifts.
