Beautiful vintage Burberry trench coat
100% authentic, timeless style
Good condition
Size 42 long (approx. XL in US)
Some wear throughout: light rubbing on leather wrist buckles, light staining as shown in photos. Does not come with belt. Burberry neck tag is slightly distressed. One button missing down below on left side, coat can be fully buttoned the other way.

I have a question regarding the gun flap. I read that the idea of a gun flap is to cover the buttons so that rain won’t go inside the coat which means that the gun flap should be on the other side to serve the purpose. However I see multiple coats mentioned as autentic while still having the gun flap on the wrong side. Could you maybe explain that?

@catalina_mandu Hi there, thanks for your question. I’m not sure about the placement of the gun flap, but I’ve sold about 6 or 7 of these trenches with the gun flap, and they’ve all passed Authenticity Guarantee. Also keep in mind that iPhone will sometimes flip or distort photos.

@catalina_mandu although, men’s vs. women’s gun flaps will be on different sides of the chest, and you’re right, I believe this coat is actually men’s based on that info. Thank you for catching that!

@arielcorundum I am not talking about the side in which the gun flap is but rather the actual usage of a gun flap. The gun flap on a Burberry trench coat is placed on the right side from what I read, but it can be on the other side as well, covering part of the chest and overlapping the top buttons for protection against wind and rain. So I am just a little bit confused. But thank you very much!

@catalina_mandu oh yes, I see what you’re saying! The coat can be buttoned either to the left or the right, so if it’s raining, you’d button it the reversed way and the flap would protect the opening 😊
