Cannot remember what the Vintage Butterfly is made of but it's thick & necklace is made very well. Fit's up to 18" and goes around the Pearl type Bead & holds very snug. Bought with the Lavender Butterfly Sweatshirt & Necklace cost more then the sweatshirt. They go great together. Necklace is made out of very thick stretchy cord wrapped tightly. I've had it for quite awhile & still like new. Butterfly is the same on both sides, you can hook it on either side.
