Butterick Misses Dress with back drape Rare 40's Sewing Pattern

Rare! Volup! Butterick 5183 from the 40’s Not found in wiki, the envelope says “Soft Silhouette Dress. Soft "Quick & Easy" dress with a deep V-neckline and slim four-gore skirt is dramatized with a contrast-faced asymmetric back drape which wings it’s way to the side to stand out like a kite. (B) Sans drape. Long sleeves. I used the skirt of this pattern for my mother of the bride dress in pale green silk duppioni with a dark green satin lining inside the drape! It didn’t “stand out like a kite” but did move beautifully when dancing. Very elegant. Size 18 bust 36, envelope is rumpled around the edges as expected with age.
