lowwastewears @spookygoddess it’s crazy how much of an impact clothing production make on the environment! I broke down this past week and purchased two new pairs of jeans from the GAP - my first non-secondhand pieces in the whole year! We consume way too many new clothes even though so many great used ones are out there. Like what I just purchased from you! I can dye that whatever color I like and make it my very own and it’ll last forever since it’s made well! Shopping secondhand is where it’s at.

spookygoddess @mollyredwards I agree! I read that the entire fashion industry emits more carbon pollution in a year then every shipping vessel and international flight for a year combined!! For clothing! But seriously that is so impressive that you went most of the year without purchasing retail! I have been on poshmark since May and it has changed the way I see clothing - and purchasing it.

spookygoddess @mollyredwards I just bought a vintage Halloween denim button down shirt off of here and its hands down one of my favorite purchases ever. It's so awesome knowing I could be its second or third owner! I am obsessed now and want other people to know about this platform and the benefits of buying secondhand.

lowwastewears @spookygoddess isn’t it?! I have a few pieces that im in love with the history of - can’t help but wonder who wore it before I did. Look into refashioning if you haven’t already! spookygoddess I've always worried about working, school, and anything else first and I'm in a new chapter in my life where I want to be my own individual (im 25 and have been married for 6 years and a mother for over 3) so I've kind of lost that in the journey of growing and taking care of my family. I'm just now finding what I love! Which is texture and vintage pieces mostly. Velvets, knits, embroidery, etc.
