These are character shoes in the traditional Broadway style of dance shoes. They make very comfortable street shoes too. These have no taps, but can be easily converter to tap shoes (no taps included but you can get them from capezio or from a shoe cobbler). These are a low heel - flattering on the leg line - and great for flag corps, high school theater productions, dance schools, etc. Capezio usually runs a full size small so even though these are 8.5 they will best fit someone who wears women’s size 7.5 or 8 street shoe.
