CEYLON SAPPHIRE Cornflower Blue / Natural Gemstone Not Lab Created / Some Flaws

The sapphires found in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) are superior in both beauty and quality. They have a light to medium tone and an uneven color spread throughout the gemstone. However, this does not undermine the value of these sapphires. In fact, their distinctive bright blue coloring and premium quality are appreciated worldwide. This is a 6.9 x 5.2mm natural blue Ceylon oval cut sapphire that weighs 1.04 carats. In addition to the aforementioned uneven coloring, there are a few flaws which are best seen in the photo of the back of the stone (see photo). I believe in showing my stones close up to reveal any flaws but when placed in a setting this gem will look fabulous and glow that cornflower blue that only Ceylon sapphires do.
