@lionessny i think that retail price you mentioned is in a different currency. If you look at Chanel in US, the aged calfskin is $5600 and the crocodile is $6200. Patent could not cost more than crocodile.

@crystal_dinh the retail price of this bag was $5,500 in 2011. I am in this business for 20 years, so been watching Chanel brand for quite some time. It has risen by at least 50%. The bags that used to be $4,000 are now $6000. It is not only the material it is made out, it is also the model. I am referring to US dollars only.

@lionessny it would be great to have the option to purchase on tradesy I have sales funds on there. They take the same amount of commission as posh so you wouldn’t be at a loss. When i didn’t see it on tradesy anymore I assumed it got sold

@echang4115 Tradesy gotten way worse, they are like eBay now. Ever since they changed their policy for sellers, no sense to sell high end items in there anymore. They charge on top of shipping, plus 3.9% transfer fee, it comes to almost 25%. Then you have to wait for your funds to become available for another 30 days. And once you request a transfer, another 2-3 weeks till it hits your bank.

@lionessny yes I agree with you. It takes them forever to process payments and releases funds. It’s my biggest gripe with them....but now they’ve added tax on posh and that’s something to consider when purchasing on here as well. These reseller sites are all getting super clever making it harder and harder to find super good deals
