In mint condition, they get pretty high between 1,000 and up to around 1500. So, as far as this brooch. It is authentic for several reasons, but specifically, if you look on the back, it is stamped with a copyright symbol immediately followed by CHANEL (w/in a rectangular stamped border), and then stamped 174 with a space between CHANEL and 174.

Also, the back of this brooch has a smeared-like texture and a scooped hollowed out backing/shape. As far as dating and age. It's well known that most of Chanel's jewlery did not appear with a date stamp until 1981, for the very first time. This brooch was made prior to 1981, making it vintage. It's a classic CHANEL piece. This piece is authentic.❤️
