mariaaggie @sunflower_ann the suit is vintage and is in excellent condition. It was owned by a woman in Chicago and I bought it from her shop in 2004. I brought it to the Chanel in Dallas that year as I moved back home. They altered it and I wore the jacket once and had it dry cleaned at a cleaners that does Chanel (covered button in foil ir removed them) and I never wear because it heavy wool boucle and silk. Its collection 97 and its exactly what Karl is doing again now.

mariaaggie The Highland Park store that did my alterations did an impeccable job and left most of the material in the skirt so it can be lowered although it looks odd on me any longer. Its nicer than my spring jackets but I can never find anywhere to wear it here in Texas.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann sure i will measure tonight. I was 34dd at the time and normally wore a 38 but this one was fine. Let me get the measurements for you though. I will measure the inside of zhe material and not the outside so its a true measure. I will include outside measurements if they seem significant.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann ok jacket: on the inside armpit bottom center to armpit bottom center along the inside of the back is 21”. The smallest part where the natural waist is 34” around the inside and 33” from button to center button hole (waist). On the manequin and aroind the outside of the jacket while buttoned comfortably, the chest at fullest is 35”, waist is 31.5 and has some room on the manequin (manequin doesnt drink wine apparently). mariaaggie @sunflower_ann waist of skirt is 29-29.5 inches at the smallest part when zipped all the way. The widest part of hip is 37 and length of skirt is 13.5”. There is about four inches of material to let out in the width on the skirt at the darts and 2 inches in length in hem.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann Any Chanel boutique will alter for the life of the item, (if authentic)on any Chanel suit, for a small fee. You just have to wait a few weeks on them (this one was $75 I think to do the jacket and skirt and they delivered it to my office with a sample of cosmetics, less than any alteration place would charge & they keep all styling intact. But I hope that helps.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann sure & I could include the skirt anyway. You never know &decide to alter/resell later (+ retain their value better as the set). I rarely wear the skirts on any of my suits. They only sell for 800-900 new in the boutiques &when you spend $4-5Gfor the jacket its usually an afterthought but you notice when it’s missing.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann This friend in Dallas was eyeing a popular lavender suit of mine that was snug on me. His client was a sz42 (not large but this was a 34) & were able to use the skirt to transform the jacket. It was amazing. So she was thrilled with the extra fabric. But I wear it with jeans. Fort Worth is just too casual. But let me know your thoughts. I have never traded but I love that bag or a Chanel belt/wallet or boots. But I do like the bag you have.

mariaaggie @sunflower_ann hard to tell whats available. Louis Vuitton I am not fond of the ones with the artwork on them. I like the traditional ones and the newer ones that are conservative. I like the LV marc jacobs era shoes and clothes though. And if you ever get any Gucci or Tom Ford (and if his time at Gucci🤗) I would sell my soul and live on the streets for - I have a pair of pants I have that are to die for i got in 04 that I have been searching for one size smaller

mariaaggie @wungucci I have two more jackets listed if you are still looking for a Chanel jacket. The shorter black one is listed a bit higher because of condition, tailoring and its a foundation piece that is traditional and never goes out of style. You rarely see the traditional black for sale because people hold on to them but if you like it let me know. I have some wiggle room.

mariaaggie @maileluaehu I am 5’1. Its actually 14.5 and has just over 2 inches in the hem (which Chanel highland Park altered but did not cut so it can be taken out to about 16 - 16.5. The Chanel silk lining was cut about an inch but that too can be lowered a bit). I never wore the skirt but they also left enough in the side seam to let it out to be A lined or sized up to possibly a 38.

mariaaggie @violingrl0125 On a CHANEL Fall sz 36 the shoulder measurement is approx 15” but again I will verify. Since it is Fall collection it is thicker boucle wool so I will measure ID and OD (inside dimension along inside of jacket and outside dimension along outside of material at seams, where shoulder meets top of arm sleeve seam - where sleeves begin although they should be close)

It will still go through Posh Authentication (usually my items easily go through that process in less than a day, but they hit me with a significant fee 😢) My counter is not far off. Some feel the extra fee is worth it because they know they will assure its an authentic item.
