A modernist brooch designed by Chaumet.
This is a beautiful retro-modernist brooch, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Chaumet, back in the 1970. The sculptural brooch has been made up, with an arrange of four sculpted elements of different sizes with fluted and twisted patterns intertwined each other. One of them is carved from natural chrysoprase and three made up in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The brooch is fitted at the reverse with hinged double pin bars and a trombone security lock. This brooch can be also worn as a pendant in a chain or a necklace.
Chrysoprase: Mounted with 1 fancy fluted cabochon cut carved from natural translucent green chrysoprase.
Birthstone: Chrysoprase for the month of May.

Measurements: 38 mm by 35 mm (1.50 x 1.38 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; two times with the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, two times with the maker's mark JC inside a lozenge cartouche associated to Jacques Chaumet, and signed as follow; "CHAUMET PARIS".
