CHRISTIAN DIOR Crop Lady Jacket is a Vintage lover’s dream come true. Made in France, Circa 1950s. The jacket’s virgin wool is a perfect lipstick red, textured with complementary yarns. Craftsmanship and details are vintage perfection. The jacket’s classic Parisian silhouette is quite versatile. It can be worn open, or closed for a more tailored look. Neat, flat hip pockets add to the piece’s function and charm. Dress down with jeans and tee or turtleneck. Nighttime fab with silk or leather pants, skirt or slip dress. The condition is very good vintage. No rips, holes or tears. The lining is intact and color is bright and no fading. The back of the collar has a tiny discoloration and the zipper is a bit glitchy. I’ve priced with this in mind. Above the brand label, a woman had sewn in a label with her name, which speaks to her pride in her purchase and her good care of the garment. Months before this posting, I took it to high-end Melrose Ave vintage store. They loved it and their appraisal was it’s ‘good wear consistent with age and use.’ They priced at $1,095, ‘as is’.
