It glows like an ember. Dupioni silk is a plain weave that is produced using fine thread in the warp and a rough uneven thread in the weft. This uneven thread is sourced from two or more entangled cocoons. This creates a tightly woven fabric that is durable and has a lustrous sheen. Dupioni is environmentally friendly, comfortable, not easily wrinkled and simply luxurious. Christiane Celle created something classy by merging the 60s mini dress and kaftan with a bold palette. The neutral bronze/copper bands of silk mimic a cordeé neckline forming a "U", conjuring the kaftans of Egypt. The 3/4 sleeves, pockets and mini length keep it sassy and mod. Add drama with the belt/sash that's orange on one side, and the neutral browns on the other. Pick a side, tie it front or back. Or leave it off altogether. Travel-friendly and doesn't wrinkle easily.
