jalapan I’m extremely curious to know how this worked out. I have wearable luxury sweaters but in the wrong sizes. I was thinking about how sweaters made of “recycled cashmere” are a thing and wondering how they’re made. 🙂

notreallaewest @jalapan for sure! I washed them in the machine on hot and threw them in the dryer until they are throughly felted and then I can cut and sew them into new projects. If it’s still in good shape and you don’t want to felt it look up “unraveling a sweater how to” and you can learn how to reclaim the yarn.
