Cyanotype is a chemical reaction that occurs when a solution of Ferric Ammonium Citrate and Potassium Ferricyanide are exposed to sunlight. As such, natural variations in color and minor imperfections occur (example of such are pictured). Additionally, cyanotype will fade with repeated exposure to sunlight so shoes should be stored out of direct sun. If properly cared for, shoes will remain vibrant for years despite regular wear.
