Ca 1923 Tales of Sherlock Holmes by Sir A. Conan Doyle. Little Luxart Library. Robert K. Haas, Inc., Publishers (formerly Little Leather Library Corp). Undated The Little Leather Library is a series of miniature, abridged books of famous speeches and works by classic literary authors. In 1922, Robert K. Haas bought out the Little Leather Library Company, renaming it to the Little Luxart Company. The shiny red leatherette books have Little Luxart Company embossed on the back cover. This approximately 100 year old miniature book is in overall fair condition for its age: • Cover: detached as is common with these little books with wear/curling/tearing at edges and corners (top front corner missing). Tear on back cover near spine • Spine: heavy wear at ends (missing sections, see pictures) • Pages: title page is detached and has some tears and small section missing, otherwise pages are in good condition for age • Measures approximately 4" x 3 1/8" Please see all pictures.
