Calvin Klein purse/handbag/shoulder. Rough condition, needs repair.

This bag was very much loved, but after being in storage, the faux leather is peeling and cracking badly, although the rest is in good condition, including the suede parts and the inside. Please look at the pictures. I'm hoping someone would be willing to fix it or transform it so it can be beautiful again. At the very least the strap is detachable and in good condition as well, so that can be useful as a spare for other bags. I used to get tons of compliments on it, and I would just hate throwing away if there's any hope for it.
