Carlin Comforts & Co were manufacturers & importers in 1930’s. The porcelain items were made in France especially for Saks Fifth Ave. Probably was ceased because of WWII. These pieces are antiques and RARE. An antique item, so normal sign of aging & wear. Brass Edging, Hinge & Clasp, all in good condition. Gold Gilt HandPainted Floral Design on Front, Sides & Back. Lid Hand Painted with Doves & Basket of Roses. Signed on Bottom Approximate Dimensions: 4”l x 2 1/2”w x 3 1/4”h A beautiful vintage item made for dressing tables.
