Carter's 1950’s Beautiful Peignoir off-white Long Negligée Robe

Peignoir is the name for the long, sheer or chiffon outer-garment, worn over by ladies over their negligee. To say it is only a light dressing gown diminishes the frivolous beauty of this translucent garment, worn by women in the privacy of their boudoir Pre-owned and in great condition. Approximate measurements 58” overall length 19.5” across chest from pit to pit My mannequin is size 6 and this was owned by someone who wore size 10 & 12. It’s open front and could fit a woman’s size small 6 to a woman’s size 12. Purchased from Schuster’s in Milwaukee, WI a long long time ago.
