@carol654 Like all mules, you have to practice walking in these. The heel angle helps the ball of your foot stay in. If I am wearing dress shoes to an event, I wear them for short periods of time prior to, like when I am making dinner or cleaning up. It helps break them in a bit and gets you accustomed to them. There has to be products out there that can help too ;) (Oh, and scuffing up the bottom leather soles will help by making them less slippery on surfaces.)
